Two years ago The Transplants drummer Travis Barker announced the band had reunited and would begin writing for a new album that year. After being in and out of the studio working on new material the band wrapped up recording in December 2011. In 1999 Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong and Rob Aston started the beginnings of what would become The Transplants with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker joining in 2002. The band rose to fame with their hits “Diamonds & Guns” and “DJ DJ” off their debut self titled album in 2002 and “Gangsters & Thugs” their sophmore release, Haunted Cities, in 2005. That year the band toured with the Van’s Warped Tour which gained them new fans but later disbanded the following year. The bands highly antiticpated third album is expected to drop this spring and will be playing their first show in almost 6 years with a sold out show at The Roxy in Hollywood, CA early next month.
